ultiboard footprint text changes bizarrely

In an existing UB design with a certain part that has two text attributes with different values.

Whne I have modified the part in the database and then replaced the part from the database the text value is modified.  In one case the values are changed to be the same.  In another case the value is just changed to be incomplete.

I've tried the same footprints in another design and they seem to replace correctly.

This is an important design and I just can't throw it away and start over.  It seems something is bad about that file causing strange errors like this.

Any ideas?

I attached a stripped down version of the design with the parts and smaples of the issue.  There should be two text attributes by the connectors.  One should say 'Top' and one 'Bot'.  In one case they are both changed to 'Top'.  In another where I combined them into one attribute it changes it to 'Top'  and deletes the '   Bot' that was added to the attribute.

I will pass this file to R&D for them to investigate.  For now, please try this:

1.  Select Tools>>Database>>Database Manager, locate this footprint and select the Edit button to get into the Footprint Edit Mode. Make sure the footprint is setup the way you want it to look on the work area.

2. Select Edit>>Properties>>Attribute, remove all attributes except for what is shown below:

3.  On the main work area, double click on one of the footprint and select the "Attributes" tab

4.  Remove all the attributes including "top" except for what shown below:

5.  Repeat step 4 for the remaining footprint.  You have to do this for every footprint even if it looks right on the design.

6.  Click a footprint and select Tools>>Replace Part

That seems to make it work.  Sounds like a bug that should be reported though.

Thanks.
