Abstract:
A review of using LabVIEW Object-Oriented Programming to implement a Hardware Abstraction Layer in order to minimize hardware upgrade impacts on associated data acquisition software. Upgrading to the new acquisition hardware within the Standard Data System provided an opportunity to create new code for one of the data collection subsystems.
