I have a flexrio system, 7962R FPGA module and 6587 adaptor module. I acquired LVDS data on 4 channels at 50MHz internal clock from an external FPGA kit through MicroD to Infiniband connector interface card. I would like to save the real time data. I transfered the data from FPGA to Host through FIFOs then viewed the data in digital form. Simple acquisition vi. I received this error. -1821 occured at open file. Waveform data type conflict. First of all What I think is, it is simply saving the waveform visible on the graph. Secondly it creates and replaces the file. And the data saved in the file cannot be read. I want to have one file and saved on my PC. and I want to start acquisition until I stop it. How do I do that?
The data should be visible in spreadsheet. Please send me a link to a document if any for the mechanism of acquirig and saving data in real time.
Thnx

Take a look at the High Throughput Streaming example in the example finder.
Hardware Input and Output>>FlexRIO>>High Throughput>>Streaming
It uses the TDMS API to demonstrate how to stream data from an FPGA target to disk.
