How can i find the ni-auth credentials name and password?

Hi guys!I used the 8840 host. At first, the host used the windows os. Then I reinstalled the Ni Linux os. Now, when I boot up, it let me input the ni-aluth credentials, but what's the ni-auth credentials name and password? How can i find it?

The default user name is: admin, with no password. Are you trying to login using Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX), or with the terminal window (e.g. PuTTY)?

Thank you very much! Now i can login, but i have another problem, when i enter the bios, and set the Labview RT boot configuration as the  Labview RT, after i reboot the host, it's displays "unable to find boot program c:\ph_exec.exe. booting into safe mode....." then it tell me no software installed, i'm confused. Is the  8840 can't use the ni-linux os? But i have checked the ni-linux support list have 8840?

You may need to update the BIOS to support the NI LInux RT OS correctly. There is a tutorial on to provision the controller here:

https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA03q000000x4CsCAI&l=en-US

It includes a section that links to a page with a list of supported hardware:

https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/documentation/compatibility/20/ni-linux-real-time-operating-system-...

There is a pull down menu where you select your controller. With the 8840 make sure you select the dual, or quad core, as they have their own BIOS.

If you are upgrading the BIOS, you may as well get the latest one. It is worth searching as there may be a later version available, For example, the PXIe-8840 Quad-Core lists BIOS version 2.1.3f0 as the minimum for Linux support. If you do a Google search you will find 2.1.7.f0 is available:
