NI MAX install

Hi, NI Experts,

I installed NI MAX but came with the GUI font is too small on the left side, so I decided deleted the National Instrument folder from the laptop x86, then when I try to install NI MAX installer again, the file manager says no module is selected.

How do I fix this ?

Many Thanks!

It is a bad idea to delete files manually rather than uninstalling the software through NI Package Manager. There are some files residing in other directories and registry.

Try to uninstall and reinstall the software again, using NI Package Manager.

For your original issue of small font size, see NI MAX Font Size Too Small or Large

To attempt to fix this:

  1. launch NI Package Manager (NIPM)
  2. go to the Installed tab
  3. find "Measurement & Automation Explorer", select it, then click Repair
  4. it will hopefully replace the missing files

Hi, NI Experts,

This is horrible, I stuck on the uninstall (many times), then install, then uninstall (many times), still didn’t get it work! (I emailed NI support email thread, they need a service_ID where I don’t have one. This is just a free sw of NI MAX. I hope someone from NI side or some NI user experts, send me an email on meeting invite, we can solve it on a desktop share.
