Auto Generation of FileGlobals/Locals

Status: New

It would be great to be able to generate a FileGlobal or a local variable by right clicking a detected field in a Sequence step and choosing the relevant option as shown in the image below:

That is instead of manually having to do it.

If you type in "Locals.Variable_Name" in the Value part, you can right-click on that to create the local variable.

That solution is the same as just adding it manually in the variables pane. Maybe a little bit more convenient.
If I have a cluster of clusters with different data types inside I'll have to sit all day to create the local variable manually instead of automatic generation, which should be straight forward.

I found this icon under the type column to be the closest thing to my suggestion. It creates a new type populated with everything inside:

But i find it as a partial solution. as it requires extra steps of actually creating a variable with the newly created type instead of just doing everything in one go as distinct types don't recure.

If the tools for generating type defs were made open source, the entire process of adding code modules could be easily automated.
