TestStand 2023 Q4 released on October 13th and is available for download!
We’re excited to announce the release of TestStand 2023 Q4, which comes with new features including:
TestStand 2023 Q4 includes the following features and changes:
Import/Update from SystemLink Specification Compliance Manager
SystemLink Specification Compliance Manager (SCM) is a design-to-test analytics software that manages device specifications, connects to measurement data sources, and automatically generates compliance reports. This new Import/Update SCM tool in TestStand lets you import specifications from the SCM to set up test sequences. The data is imported to a sequence file as variables to be used in configuring measurement conditions, sweeps, and test limits. The tool also allows you to automatically upload results back to SCM for analysis.
From the Tools menu, access Import/Update from Specification Compliance Manager (SCM). Once imported, TestStand will automatically create variables associated with the specifications defined by the SCM.
Improved performance when passing Enums to Python
TestStand performance has been improved when using the Enum data type with the TestStand Python adapter to pass Enum values between TestStand and Python code modules.
Executing source-only VIs in TestStand
Source-only VIs are VIs that are decoupled from a LabVIEW version. This feature adds support for executing source-only VIs in TestStand when it is configured to use the LabVIEW runtime engine. This is accomplished by compiling LabVIEW modules necessary for execution into a Packed Project Library (PPL) before execution begins.
Added filter in Variable Pane to filter variables and their properties by name
In the TestStand 2023 Q4 release is an added Variable filter. The Variables pane on the Sequence File tab now has a Filter control which allows you to filter variables by name and their properties in the Call Stack pane.
Added support for Visual Studio 2022
TestStand now supports modifying C# and CPP code modules during debugging sessions in Visual Studio 2022 by leveraging the hot reloading capability in VS 2022, without the need to reload the modules in TestStand to get the updated code modules reloaded to memory.
System Support
.NET Framework update to 4.8
Support for Python 3.11
