in our companie we have a VLM Server. Some Users get userbased licenses (Enterprise) and our testsystems gets computerbased licenses (also Enterprise). On each testsystem we have also a BaseDeploymentLicense activated.
Our Problem is, if we start a GUI (programmed in LabView 2022) the wrong license will be used. The computerbased license at the server will be used instead of the BaseDeploymentLicense.
I have tried to set the property "iseditor" of the applicationmanager to false (i found this in another post here in the forum), but it doesent work.
The NIVLM License is always prefered. If i deactivate the local manager to use networklicenses, then the BaseDeploymentLicense will be used and it worked.
We included a small tool, to manipulate the licensing files and set the enterprise licenses to the blocked features. The problem still exists, a networklicense will be taken. But i can not start TestStand or Labview anymore.
If i start our GUI when the licensing files are manipulated before, then it worked as expected and the BaseDeploymentLicense will be used.
In the past that was no problem, because the computerbased where included in our contract as many as needed, but for the future, maybe we will loose this option, and then we have a big problem.
Has anybody a idea, what we are doing wrong, or how can we fix this?
