Hey,

I can only talk about the J1939 add-on.  In terms of support for Windows, it is untested.  This basically means I don't know if it will work or not.  You are definitely welcome to try it and let me know what you find.  As far as constraints, the J1939 add-on has the ability to periodically generate messages.  This generation engine happens in software.  If you are doing periodic messages and they need to be deterministically timed, running on Windows could be a problem.  It might still work but the messages won't go out at exactly the rates they are supposed to.  Additionally, most of J1939 messages (including DTCs) go over a transport protocol.  This protocol has timing requirements.  This protocol happens in software.  Therefore, if Windows hangs for a second during a transport protocol message, you will get errors.  Once again, it may work but it definitely isn't ideal.

Hey,

I apologize but there is no way to edit a J1939 database with our tools.  You need to get the database from another tool.  This add-on is meant to be something for automated testing of a network.  Typically, you use a different tool for network development.  You create the database in the development tool and transfer it to the J1939 addon.

I try to creat a J1939 database,but I can't  get DTC in the veristand.  Do I need to set a parameter a wrong value in order to get DTC? Besides, I can't creat the frame and signal in veristand with "J1939 System Definition API".  Then Could you share the J1939 database? My email is 769588553@qq.com.  thanks!

Hey,

As stated previously, you can't create or edit a frame or signal for a J1939 database.  You can only use something pre-created through some other package.  I will continue support through your email.
