Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting Manufacturing Engineering Manager with roles in the support of all departments as they relate to the design and manufacture of products.
Essential Functions:
- Problem solving skills, decision making, and the ability to drive solutions to completion
- Prioritize activities and perform program management responsibilities
- Meeting attendance and support of new products
- Develop manufacturing plans to allow for smooth introductions of products from design to manufacturing.
- Manufacturability and design review activities
- Manufacturing support of sustaining and new product issues with mechanical disciplines and process development.
- Configuration management
- Ability to design, develop, implement, validate, measure, maintain, document and train people for methods/equipment used within manufacturing
- Modification and generation of assembly aides and process documentation
- ECO generation, review, and implementation support
- Yield monitoring, process improvement, and driving corrective actions
- Continuous improvement and drive towards world class manufacturing practices
- Time studies, space planning, and industrial engineering duties
- Cost reduction efforts
- Strong database skills in MS Access and LABVIEW
Qualification Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Process Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electronics manufacturing with related experience in process development
- Computer skills – Database, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize a changing workload.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to interact with co-workers, suppliers, and customers.
