Hi all,
First of all, thank you to everyone that participated (virtually or in person) at the last Oregon LUG!!
We're hoping to get another LUG scheduled sometime before the end of the year so I figured I would get the conversation started with the tentative date of 11/16?
We were thinking of hosting the next one at a local restaurant or something and having it be a bit more casual. As a reminder, these events are for the LabVIEW community (you reading this), so if there are any suggestions or things you want to see, please let us know!!
And yes... we will indeed pick up the tab 🙂 these are still 100% free events.
Finally, I wanted to shout-out one of our local consulting groups, Ashford Solutions! I totally forgot to give them sometime to talk about their company at the last LUG and figured late is better than never. Their team has been an integral part of the Oregon LabVIEW community for a long time and I've seen their work at the OSU Advanced Nuclear Systems Engineering Laboratory (ANSEL) first hand. Check out some of their work below and let me know if there are any other cool LabVIEW projects you would like to see highlighted!

Thank you,

McMenamins Broadway pub has a good sized room and is pretty centrally located

That sounds good to me -- thank you for the suggestion!
Do you think we should try and do presentations again or maybe make this one more casual?
We could alternate between the two formats as well... whatever people think is best...

Hi everyone,
I have made a reservation at McMenamins on Broadway for next Wednesday 11/15 from 4:30-6:30 pm for the next Oregon LUG meeting.
Address:1504 NE Broadway, Portland, OR 97232
This next LUG is going to be very casual and we'll probably alternate between this format and more technical-session focused meetings moving forward.
I should have some availability prior to 4 pm in case anyone needs a ride/wants to carpool. There is a $250 minimum for the private room at McMenamins so please try and let me know who is planning to attend in advance.
Everyone is more than welcome but depending on the # of attendees it might make more sense $ wise just to get a large table in the main area. The room fits up to 40 people so I don't expect capacity to be an issue. We can also migrate from the big room if people want to stay later than 6:30 -- I'll be spending the night in Portland regardless so I'm very flexible.
Cheers,
William Donovan
