Change in OS in PXIe-8880 (783513-05)

Hi,

We are working with PXIe-8880 (783513-05), our original configuration was with OS Windows 10 Professional, NI changed the OS to windows IOT, is it done under revision? or any other way? Where do I see the difference?

Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is a full version of Windows 10 with specialized features to create dedicated devices locked down to a specific set of applications and peripherals.

The difference between these OS versions is listed below. 

Windows 10 Pro

• General purpose applications such as personal computers  
• Shorter lifecycle (2-3 years, then forced upgrade)
• Shorter support time (18-30 months)
• Automatic updates
• Unique product keys per device

Windows 10 IoT Enterprise

• Dedicated applications such as embedded systems
• Longer lifecycle (10+ years)
• Longer support time (10 years)
• User controls updates
• Has only one product key

I understand what your saying but this wasn`t my question, we have ordered the same P/N of the PXIe-8880 (783513-05) in theory this is supposed to be exactly the same configuration (including OS), but received a different OS, I guess that NI raised the revision of the PXIe-8880 (783513-05), where I can find the old revisions and compare the difference?

You can compare the difference the first hardware document with the second one, but there is no more information that I found.

I suggest contact NI support for more information, which will be the best way in this case.
