Also had trouble yesterday with registration process for the PXI-4070's.

All hardware is installed, using Thunderbolt to talk via PXIe-8301 MXI-Express.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hi Jeff,

There appears to be an issue with the PXIe-8301 connecting with the host computer.

Can you send over a MAX Technical Report? This will give me information on what NI software you have install, what the computer and BIOS versions are, and what NI Services are running.

Can you also let me know what version the Thunderbolt driver is?

Thanks!

Captain_K,

I replied with the MAX report and attaché a zip file to the string last week, sorry as I did not reply to you directly, thanks for any help...

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for this! We've had a couple of similar issues like this pop up and NI R&D is looking into this. The problem we're having is that all of the laptops we've tested are working as expected so we're trying to gather information from users to recreate the issue in house. At this time, I don't have any additional troubleshooting steps for you, but I'll try to keep you updated as information comes my way.

Thanks!

Quick question, what PXIe chassis are you using? Part of the issue we're working through is that the chassis doesn't show up in MAX.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the extra info. Unfortunately, this isn't the same issue that NI R&D is looking into. In your case, I'd like to make sure that you're powering on your chassis first, then with the thunderbolt cord plugged in, powering on your computer. While this is a thunderbolt connection, we still see occasional issues when hot plugging-in and removing the chassis.
