I have got some errors for my PXIe-5450

Hello,

I currently trying to test my PXIe 5450 module.

I have installed Labview, NI Max, NIFGEN version 14 and also I have updated the firmware upto 1.1.1f4 for 5450 module.

The module can be seen on NI MAX however, when I tried to do self test, this came out.

error -229020, "Internal Software Error occurred in MIG software. Please contact National Instruments Support"

According to device status from VISA Properties, the device is working properly.

Also It can't do test panel too via NI DAQmx and Two led indications are all off on 5450 module,

Can you please help me with this problem and let me know if you need more information.

Regards

Hello garam9201,

I am sorry to hear that your PXIe-5450 is giving you this error message. Did we perform the installations and software updates before or after the error started occuring?

Could you try running through the following troubleshooting steps to see if they resolve the error?

1. Reset the device in Measurement & Automation Explorer (NI MAX).
2. Reboot the PC or PXI controller.
3. Try a different PXI slot.
4. Reinstall the device driver in the device manager (you don’t need to reinstall NI-SCOPE) by deleting the device and letting the operating system re-detect the hardware (Action>> Scan for New Devices in the Windows Device manager).
5. Update the driver to the latest version.
6. If possible try the card in a different system.

Thank you for your time. I hope these steps help!

HI

Thanks for the answer,

I have tried swapping the module to different set up etc...

For the firmware of this module, I can only find this for somehow,

Is there any newer version than this?

I can't do anything with this module even reset button shows the error.

Thanks for your time.

Regards

After checking internally that does appear to be the latest version of our firmware for the module.

May I ask which version of DAQmx we have installed? Have we attempted to reinstall any DAQmx drivers?

Which versions of software and drivers are we using? Could you upload a screenshot of your software and drivers seen in NI MAX?
