i've already bought this startech adapter and it's working well. I'm using it with the PXI1033 and the expresscard 8360.

So no problems to switch off the computer with connected adaptor?

No problem, you connect the adaptor on the computer and let it there, everything you need know is on the manual, just pay attention because you aren't supposed to take the card off with the computer turned on.. it's not hotswap.

I should 2nd that the startech works fine in Two Lenovo PCs. Kudos. JoãoP for testing it out.

are well worth it

i recommend the platic adaptor to prevent the MXI cable and hence 8360 getting bumped when in use, disconnecting the chassis.
