NI PXIe-5413 not working after reboot with NI PXIe-1083

Dear all,

My setup is a Lenovo laptop connected to a NI PXIe-1083 (thunderbolt chassis). In this chassis multiple card are present including a function generator NI PXIe-5413. The tests were made using the LV20 32bit and 64bit runtime.

The issue is the following:
When I first start the NI PXIe-1083 then the laptop, everything works fine. However, if I restart or power cycle the laptop, the NI PXIe-5413 card is throwing an error message:

-88717
Property Node (arg 1) in main.vi <ERR>
No device by the given name was found.

This error can be thrown by many FGEN VIs for example:

fgen.png

Will return:
niFgen Reset Device.vi<ERR>No device by the given name was found.

All of these tests are successful if no reboot or power cycle are made.

The only workaround found is to reset the NI MAX database. This is not a suitable option for me as I would need to do that every time I power cycle my laptop. Especially that resetting the NI Max Database will require another reboot once done.

Any ideas were that could come from ?

We can't be sure what's going on because the issue could come from a Windows update, laptop BIOS or Thunderbolt driver. Perhaps the easiest thing to try is to upgrade to the latest PXI Platform Services

Thanks for the advice, I updated to the last PXI Platform Services (2023 Q2) and also NI-FGEN (2023 Q1.1) as the NI PXIe-5413 is a function generator. However, the issue is still present... It's quite strange as all the other card seems to work as they should even after a power cycle, only the NI PXIe-5413  is throwing errors.
