We have a NI PXIe-1078 chassis with NI PXIe-5632 VNA card. It was working fine forever and now suddenly when performing Smith.vi, i get a phase lock loop error. I don't see anything in the block diagram that sets up the reference clock. We have tried changing refs in the soft panel, nimax, in the block diagram but we more technicial support on this.
Does the VNA even need PLL? It is the only measurement device in the chassis. The other component is an RF mux. Can I turn off PLL for the Smith measurement? This has become a black hole of a project and it would be incredible if someone from the community knows more about this subject.
