Hi,
I am working with a PXIe-1085 chassis and I have a problem which I am going to comment. One of the fans is not working and the other two are running at full speed. The speed selector status is on AUTO and the leds on the pxie-1085 indicating temperature, fan and power are off. On the other hand, accessing the chassis through NI-MAX, you can see in the figure that it does not show the status of the temperature, voltage, etc. sensors.
In the forum I read that updating the chassis firmware would be enough. This could not be done because an error appears which indicates The firmware you selected requires a newer version of the driver software than what is currently installed, as can be seen in the Figure. Which driver is needed? Is this the right way to solve this problem?
Initially we had installed XI PXI Platform Service Runtime 15.0.0f1, then we switched to 15.1 and finally to 20.0. After updating the Platform Service the control to update the firmware disappeared. What is the reason for this?
I hope you can help me. Thanks.

Hi,
I am having the same problem. on the NI PXIe-1085 chassis. Temperature, Fan, and Power LEDs do not light up and the coolers are running two out of three at full speed. see attached image.
Fan Speed Selector Switch is set to AUTO.
I look forward to hearing from you for a solution.

After several days looking for a solution we decided to open the chassis of the PXIe 1085 and noticed that the FAN control board has two connectors that are not soldered to the PCB. Is it correct that this is not soldered? or is it an assembly problem? we have 3 more PXIe1085 chassis in our possession and with this problem we doubt that the rest will not have the same problem.

I checked under a microscope; it seems as though the top layer "Connector Side" is soldered.
