PXIe-6363 Multifunction DAQ Card Not Showing Up in NI-MAX

Solved!
Go to solution

I have installed a PXIe-6363 module in a PXIe-1078 chassis with a PXIe-8821 control module. I have also installed various other modules. I see all the other modules when I look at the PXIe chassis in NI-MAX (V 19.0), but I do not see the 6363. If I move another module into the slot where the 6363 was, I see it. If I install the 6363 into a different PXIe chassis, I see it.

Any thoughts as to what could be going wrong?

Thanks.

Additional info: I took another 6363 card from a different PXIe chassis (one that NI-MAX showed in that system) and installed it in the problematic system.  The new 6363 card did not show up in NI-MAX in the problematic system either. This seems to confirm that I am dealing with a setup problem, not a bad card.

I ended up wiping the hard drive, reinstalling Windows, reinstalling LabVIEW and all the other NI components on the host computer, then uploading the RT and FPGA modules onto the PXIe controller via NI-MAX. Now things seem to work.
