PXIe Hardware Discovery

I have a PXIe-1078 chassis with a PXIe-8840 controller.  I was planning to use Veristand, and when it boots it says Veristand Engine Idle.  Awaiting command.

It works fine with Veristand, but I wanted to use Labveiw and when I make a Labview project I cannot find it when I try to add a target/device.  If I put in the IP address, it gives me a generic computer at that IP address, but no configuration or options.

Could you attach a screenshot of what you are seeing? It sounds like you are using a PXIe-8840 RT and deploying to it, but I'm not sure from the description alone.

If that is the case, could you try locating the target in NI MAX under remote devices? It sounds like it is on the network, but I want to verify that we are able to identify the target as a PXIe controller.

Thanks, I had a discussion with an NI Applciaiton Engineer and I had not installed Labview Real Time, which was why I could see it in Max, but not discover it in Labview.
