Did you mean:

Which (USB-) chassi is compatible with the NI PXI-4072

Good morning dear forum members,

I have the task to measure the physical capacity.
Here is think the measurement card "NI PXI-4072" would be effective.
Now I wanted to ask what Chassi i need.

The chassis must have a USB port to connect it directly to the computer.

Previous experience:
We have been two chassis "NI cDAQ-9174" and "NI9162".
Furthermore, the measurement card "NI 9237" and "NI 9219" for various measuring tasks.
Our LabView software:
LabView 2010 (LabVIEW Full Development System), Service Pack 1; 10.0.1 (32-bit).

Now the questions:
- Is the "NI PXI-4072" suitable for capacitance measurements?
- What a chassi we need, which can be connected directly to the PC?

The chassis we have ("NI cDAQ-9174" and "NI9162") are not compatible to the NI PXI-4072?!

Thank you.

I do not know of a USB connection to a PXI chassis, only MXI.  If that is the only card you are putting into a PXI chassis, it is not really worth it.  I would go with something like a Keithley 2110 and download the LabVIEW drivers for it.

Hello.

Thank you very much, we have now a Keithley 2110, the LabView-driver is also installed on the Laptop.

The Keithley 2110 was connected to the Laptop and has been recognized.

The device is also shown on the "labview measurement and automation explorer".

How can I implement the device in my LabView program?
Is that possible with the DAQ Assistant?
If yes, what should I choose there?

Thank you very much.

The DAQ Assistant is only for NI DAQs.  That would not even work with the PXI-4072.  There should be examples with the driver for how to use it.
