Problem:
IF 2nd HD of rev D is worse than Rev A
Detail:
- Set IF frequency to 5.2GHz and power to -10 dBm, check 2nd HD.
- Rev A is about <-40dBc and Rev D is -36dBc
Effect:
- Customer DUT 2nd HD –IF measurement result is much worse than previous data
Current solution:
- Change prefilter gain to -20dB to decrease 2nd HD generated by RF chain. The result is good and test data is correlated. Customer accept it.
- Result is shown below
Next Step\Questions:
- Need confirmation for risk evaluation. (what’s the recommended value for prefilter gain for better HD in 5831)
- As SG two tone in Rev D is much better than rev A but HD is worse. I think we make it on purpose. Is there any application note to describe what kind of setting can get better two tone, HD?
- In future release, is it possible to set High power mode and High HD mode for mmwave to standardize application in field. Is there any schedule?
