Hi all,
I have a Temposonics serial sequential interface (SSI) position sensor that I am reading with a crio-9024 with an NI-9401. I'm generating a clock and reading the data via the FPGA. I am building a second system from parts on hand but I don't have a 9401 on-hand and I DO have a 9871.
What I am wondering is if I can do the same thing using a 9871 module. I feel like like it could work since it handles RS-422. If I cannot control the clock and read back the data on the same port simultaneously, I was thinking I could use one port for the clock and another to read the SSI data.
I realize this is "not as intended" regarding the 9871. This is to eliminate the need to buy another 4201 when I have the 9871.
Is this even possible?
Thanks!
Charlie
