Disconnecting Vsup on NI9472 DO safe?

Good Day,

Is it safe to disconnect the Vsup on the NI9472 module?  We would like to put the supply through the eStop and disconnect it when the eStop is pressed.  Would this cause any software issues?

Kind Regards,

  Bruce

Are you using the module in a scan mode or in FPGA? Either way I dont think it should cause problems but you should doublecheck if error wire from the IO variable does not return some kind of error code. I dont think it will since the module just "toggles an internal switch" see here

If it does return a specific error it is easy to surpress it using Clear Errors.vi.

The module will be used in scan mode. We haven't decided yet if it is the right module for the application, or whether the 9481 is a better fit.
