Hi tlk20!
If the instrument you have is a Keithley 6487 Picoammeter, then you can find the LabVIEW driver files by first browsing to this page, or by selecting "Search Drivers" from www.ni.com/idnet and searching for 6487 in the "Additional Keywords" field. This driver is not supported by National Instruments, so the page linked above will guide you to the manufacturer's website for downloading. I was able to find the file on the Keithley website by searching for "6487 labview driver" in the search field. If you have any trouble finding this file, please let me know! Have a great day!

Hello Deylan,

UGRA,
I have done some research for the Keithley 6487. Based upon own download page the driver for this instrument is specifically "This instrument driver is NOT supported or maintained by National Instruments. This driver is maintained and supported by the instrument manufacturer or a third party." This driver is also not NI-certified. I have listed a link to the Keithley website. This is the location for the 96 VIs provided by Keithley. It appears as though in order to access these VIs a form of payment is required. For any further questions please about these VIs contact Keithley. They will be able to provide you with more assistance.

To 'frustrated' Keithley 6487 users,
The Labview driver provided by Keithley is based on a dynamic link library and it cannot support Labview version 7.5 or higher. I programmed a simple current-voltage sweep VI which communicates with the controlling computer through VISA so it can support both GPIB and RS232. This VI is based on the SCPI command on the manual so you don't need to worry about the DLL stuff. It is working fine on my computer. I programmed this VI under Labview 8.5 but you can always convert it to a lower version. It doesn't cover all the functions provided by the manual, please feel free to modify it. Hope it helps.
