HI everyone.
I currently have an sbRIO-9651 which has no ADC capabilities.
I want to design my own ADC circuit that I can interface with the FPGA input.
Are there any documents that might help me with this? I am not really sure what the output of the circuit exactly looks like or what the requirements of such a circuit would be.
I am ok with schematic design, simulation and PCB layout design.
Just not too sure on the specific design of the circuit. I will have a look at some general ADC design guides online but wondered if there is any specific requirements for the sbRIO-9651?
Any resources or advice that anyone has for this will be much appreciated.
I will be designing the PCB with MultiSIM and UltiBoard and getting it manufactured externally.

Hi David.
I'm afraid I can't offer too much assistance on creating an ADC circuit. If you look at the manual you should get some information redgarding the requirements for the sbRIO-9651.

If you do have any further questions about this let me know. I don't have personal experience with this but I will try to help.
Kind regards,
Tom

Hi,
Looks like you have to create something yourself with a ADC IC (something like ADS7844) and additional circuitry or use COTS module that convert your analog value to a digital value.
It depends on your needs and capabilities.
