PCI 6281 Self Calibration Failure - Onboard Temperature is abnormal

Hello everyone,

I have a DAQ system working on PCI 6281 board. After moving it from one country to another, high noise levels were acquired (photos attached) although I removed the SC2043 and its cable, and the card is only connected to the PC. I checked the earth connection and PC case and everything seems fine. There are no signs of damage or burnt electronics on the card or PC. When I tried to do self-calibration in NI MAX, I got an error that the calibration has failed and that I have to disconnect all signals.

When I checked the calibration info in NI MAX, the onboard temperature was abnormal (around -441 degrees Celsius).

Noise levels are the same for all channels.

1) Are the erroneous reading of temperature and high noise related? Could they be a sign of internal damage? How can I do external calibration?

2) What could be the possible reasons for the noise even though everything is disconnected ( I also moved the PC and card to another location and still the same) ?

3) Is there a way I can test this board other than the NI MAX as it doesn't provide much information.

Thank you,

Regards,
