Setting resistors for half-bridge completion with SCXI-1520

I'm using an SCXI-1520 (with SCXI-1314 terminal block) connected to an SCXI-1001 and communicating with my computer through a PCI-6221 DAQ card.  I'm using the half-bridge completion capability of the SCXI-1520 to construct one of a force platform that I'm building.  The problem I'm having is that the channel is significantly less sensitive (like an order of magnitude) than other full-bridge channels on the force platform.  The channels are similar in all other respects, save the bridge wiring (i.e., same strain gages, same construction for the parts of the force platform substrate itself).  It occurred to me that maybe the problem is that I need to match the resistance of the half-bridge completion resistors in the SCXI-1520 to the null resistance of my strain gauges (which are 120 ohm).  However, I'm not sure how to do this.  Any advice is much appreciated.

thanks,

Jesse

Hi Jesse,

The SCXI-1520 User Manual has information for connecting the half-bridge strain-gauge for types I and II on pages 2-4 and 2-5. I hope this helps answer your question!
