I am trying to create an NI Switch Executive Virtual Device. If I right click "NI Switch Executive Virtual Devices" in the left pane of NI-MAX and select "Create New" the dialog box opens but the "Available Switches" list is empty. I have installed the NI-SWITCH drivers and I am able to access the related NI-SWITCH functions under the Measurement I/O palette in LabView. Is there an additional step I must take? I am assuming I do not need to connect actual switch hardware to create the virtual device.
