The ethernet port on our RoboRIO 1 has a bent / misaligned pin and sometimes does not communicate with the radio. Often unplugging and re-seating the ethernet cable solves the connectivity problem. Have tested with several ethernet cables and get same results. USB-B connection works fine as does a USB to ethernet adapter to communicate with radio, although this adds an extra possible point of failure to the system. I tried bending the pin back into place with a tweezer but it still is not lined up properly and gives connectivity issues.
Please help me to get a repair / replacement and let me know if there is any additional info needed.
