Combo Box Button Grey Overlay

Hi,

When trying to customize the combo box button the image always has a semi transparent grey overlay. Am I doing something wrong or is it not possible to change it?

I am using LabVIEW 2009

Came across this problem again, years later, after doing some custom UI work. Spent a while trying to figure this out again, so incase I forget: The combo box must have at least one item in the drop-down list for the grey overlay (disabled) to go away.
