I'm new to the RF field and am having trouble getting my USRP set up to work with gnuradio. I'm currently running a Ubuntu 14.04 virtual box. I have gnuradio already up and running. I installed the linux UHD binary from: http://ettus-apps.sourcerepo.com/redmine/ettus/projects/uhd/wiki/UHD_Linux. However, it gave me an error and said something already already existed in a different package. I managed to successfully install it though i believe. So i tried to do 'Building an fm receiver' :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWeY2yqwVA0. This is what i get when I execute:
Using Volk machine: ssse3_64_orc
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/home/william/Desktop/fm_example.py", line 156, in <module>
tb = fm_example()
File "/home/william/Desktop/fm_example.py", line 91, in __init__
channels=range(1),
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/gnuradio/uhd/__init__.py", line 122, in constructor_interceptor
return old_constructor(*args)
File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/gnuradio/uhd/uhd_swig.py", line 1735, in make
return _uhd_swig.usrp_source_make(*args)
RuntimeError: LookupError: KeyError: No devices found for ----->
Empty Device Address
I know this is something to do with UHD but I don't know where I'm going wrong. The device (USRP) is correctly identified by the virtual box, so I know there is a connection established. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

wdwoodwa,
We recommend checking out the GNURadio and USRP mailings lists for GNURadio and UHD questions. This board here focuses on support of USRPs with LabVIEW and the NI-USRP driver.
