Host PC selection for USRP X440 and GNU Radio

Hi, I am using one USRP X440 to build a joint communication and sensing prototype. I am using GNU Radio and try to use OFDM signal for real time communication and range-Doppler sensing. Right now my host PC (i7-11700) can only enable about 30 MHz bandwidth, which is lower than the available bandwidth for USRP X440, so our group try to buy a better PC. Do you have any idea whether a R9-9950X or i9-14900K could enable about 500 MHz bandwidth, or what is the maximum bandwidth I could achieve with these better CPUs?

Hi BIXUT,

Your question hints at the CPU being your bottleneck. Are you sure this is the case, how did you conclude this? Can you share more info about your setup, like what network interface are you using on the PC for data transfer to the X440? How many channels from the X440 are you trying to use/process?

Regards

I think CPU is the bottleneck because I checked the CPU usage and it is already more than 90%. The connection is through 100 GbE ethernet card and 100 GbE QSFP cable. I am trying to use two channels.
