I am exploring the possibility of integrating modified UHD drivers with the LabVIEW NI USRP Drivers instead of the default UHD drivers. The goal is to enable LabVIEW to communicate with an SDR device that requires these modified UHD drivers for proper operation.
Challenges and Context:
1. Driver Replacement:
LabVIEW NI USRP Drivers appear to rely on the default UHD drivers provided by Ettus Research. I am looking for a way to replace or redirect LabVIEW’s dependency to use a custom or modified UHD driver.
2. Environment Configuration:
I am uncertain if LabVIEW allows configuration or redirection to use non-default UHD drivers, or if this requires deeper changes in how the NI USRP driver interacts with UHD libraries.
What I Have Tried:
- Verified that the modified UHD drivers work correctly with other applications outside LabVIEW.
- Installed the NI USRP driver for LabVIEW, but it seems to default to the standard UHD drivers.
- Looked into possible environment variable configurations or paths to direct LabVIEW to use the modified drivers without success.
