2024 Q3/4 SLUG meeting

Hey all, I'm reaching out to the community to find out what the best date for the next SLUG meeting would be! I'm thinking either late September or early October, but want to know if anyone in the community has a preference for day of the week or a specific day.

Also, if there's anyone who has a presentation they've been wanting to give to the group, reach out to me (respond to this thread) and we can coordinate!

Fresh HQ in Bellevue (our recent "normal" location) should be willing to host, provided the space is available (If our first choice isn't available, but another choice for date is, we can work that out if it comes up). I've heard that NI is trying to be more involved in User Group meetings as well, so I plan on reaching out to them once we settle on a date.

If no one else has presentation materials, I can do a recap on GDevConNA, and we might be able to bring in someone from NI to present on something, but I'd prefer if people in the community were the ones presenting.

Thanks for organizing the meeting again. September/October sounds great. Probably the earlier the better, so maybe we could squeeze in one more quarterly meeting before the EOY. I have a couple of topic that I can present: 1. Making a hardware abstraction layer for TestStand with ALOHA  or 2. How I made a LabVIEW program that automates some inexpensive benchtop equipment (PS, DMM, MUX) that you can build for about $250

Community: is Tuesday Sept 10 too early (it's 3 Tuesdays from now)? I'd like people to be able to make it, and for us to possibly have another meeting before EoY. I don't want it to be a stressor for people who need to plan in advance, though. Also, if Sept 17 (the 4th Tuesday from now) is better, be sure to respond!

For anyone following the thread but who has not yet gotten onto the Seattle-area mailing list, we are going to have the next meeting on Tuesday, Sept 10 at Fresh Headquarters. Food and doors will be at 6:30 PM, presentations should start around 7 PM, and the venue will be open until 10:00 PM.
