GigE Camera on RT Gateway

I understand this link explains there is support for GigE on RT, but I just want to verify that GigE cameras will work on the RT gateway.

I’m not quite sure what you are trying to accomplish.  The RT Gateway associated with Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) do not have a way to connect a GigE camera to them.  You will need a GigE camera interface.  The Knowledge Base Article you found describes that your camera will work in a Real-Time environment as long as you have a method of interfacing with it.

Hi Mike,

The RT Gateway has a GigE port, so I've assumed if I have that port and a RT controller I can use IMAQdx to use a GigE camera.

What camera are you trying to use? The RT gateway does NOT have driver support for GigE Vision cameras. The RT gateway does have driver support for IP cameras.

I don't have a GigE camera I'm trying to use, I just wanted to see if I could use 1. So I see that I cannot install IMAQdx on the controller. Is this something that will be allowed in the future on this controller?
