Hi all,
I recently changed hardware on my computer (motherboard, CPU, and SSD), and LabVIEW started telling me that it was not activated; not only LabVIEW, as NI ELVIS mxInstruments and Multisim gave me the same warnings, even though mxInstruments does not require a serial activation code (unless it does so in the background tied into LabVIEW's serial). I attempted all three serial numbers provided by the university in the span of my program attendance, and none have worked so far, even though I recently installed them again through a clean install of Windows.
In an attempt to remove all stored files (no, I evaded registry this time), I did a "safe" uninstall of NI by going through the control panel and removing all associated software. After all this and several reboots, it still gives me the same issue. Could the serial number be revoked and provided a new one to the institution (currently waiting for their response), or could the new MAC address, PC ID, and SATA serial number be preventing me from going through with the install? Is there a way I can update my account to my new system in hopes that this fixes the "invalid serial number"? Is it even the hardware change that prompted this, or does this seem like a NI issue at this point and not related to the hardware change? It would be hard to believe so since most students don't retain the same hardware over the course of the program, especially if they take 5-10 years doing the degree.
Either way, any input helps in trying to understand this dilemma and finding a way to fix it before I start getting behind in school. Thanks in advance.

Is this an academic site license? If so, contact the person at the University who provided you with the license and they should be able to help.
If this is a personal license or the university contact is unable to help, please contact NI customer service and they can forward your issue to the licensing group who can help resolve this.
thanks

Hey RafCo,
I wander if you were able to solve your problem, in that case how?
I'm facing a similar problem, previously I was able activate the licenses without any problem with my university serial number, but now after reinstalling LabView I'm getting "invalid serial number". I double checked that the serial number was valid on the university page and it is, so I'm kind of lost on what could be the problem.
Thank you in advance!
