NI myDAQ missing drivers in virtual environment (vmware horizon)

Hello,
I have problem with my NI myDAQ in vmware horizon. After software installation device cannot start (screen).
Is it working in virtual environment properly? I have already contacted vmware but they told me I should ask the vendor of this device..

Dear Mateusz,

we are not supporting vmware horizon. In fact, in some cases our products are not supported at all on virtual machines in all cases (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/31B0985265CA167886257831003F5536?OpenDocument). But that does not mean they cannot run properly on those VMs... Just if not, it is something that we cannot help you with.

I recommend you to try something like this: http://www.ni.com/tutorial/11424/en/ to check what the problem is, maybe it is a good idea to download and install the newest myDAQ driver (http://www.ni.com/download/ni-elvismx-15.0/5424/en/) prior to this test. This drivers can be used on following OS http://download.ni.com/support/softlib//multifunction_daq/nielvis/15.0/readme.html (stated in readme).

If you are still experiencing problems please contact us via ni.com/support or if I am correct, and you are from CEE region (Poland, Czech, Slovakia, former Yugoslavia, Romania, Hungary) and/or from academic sphere (please use your school email if possible), write an email to techsupport@ni.com in your local language. And we will try to help you achieve your goal if possible ("if possible" - because on VMs not everything from NI is supported). This is a better way, because solving HW related issues on forum is not so dynamic... so it will be even better/quicker for you.

There are a lot of developers I know that use LabVIEW in virtual machines (e.g. one VM for each LabVIEW version) and I have a VM at home that I do LabVIEW development on using VMWare player and I've run into very few issues - even using ethernet RIOs and USB DAQ devices. I don't know the difference between VMWare Player and Horizons. In VMWare player, I have to select if a USB device is connected to the VM or the host - maybe you have a similar option?

It works well on vmware player/workstation but it works different than virtual environment. In player/workstation it uses "normal" usb drivers, in VMware Horizon it uses virtual usb drivers.
