external Source

Hi,

 

i`m looking for some help. I use the myRio to read some Data from some Sensors. Because they need to much power, i have to use an external source. When i use this external source (socket), i think that i have to connect the ground Pin with the ground of the source. But i'm not shore.  Maybe i have to do nothing because the myRio use also the same source (socket), but when the Pins aren't coneccted with the ground of the socket, i have to pay attention. So can somebody help me?

generally you have to connect the power supply the same way as described in the manual:
