We are using NI XNET USB 8502 and transmitting the J1939 messages.
The application requires transmitting the cyclic messages and measuring the total transmitted messages and received messages at different bus loads.
We are using 250kbps, 500kbps and 1mbps baud rates.
We using two USB 8502 modules, looped back the transmitting channel of one 8502 module to the other and the data received from UUT is connected to other port of 8502. Effectively both the transmitted messages and received messages are now available on one of the 8502 as received messages.
We are taking the array size of the received messages and considering these as total messages transmitted or received.
At 250kbps, the count is mismatched by 5 to 10 messages, at higher baud rates 500kbps or 1mbps, the count is mismatched by around 4000 to 5000 messages.
Can anyone suggest a better way to read the total transmitted messages and the received messages.
