LabVIEW has Waveform Peak Detection.vi VI available in Signal Processing Palette.

Also, Advanced Signal Processing Toolkit has a great wavelet peak detector.

Hi,

There is a Rate Extractor VI in LabVIEW 2013 Biomedical Toolkit Beta. You can refer to the document of "How to Detect Spike Firing Rate" to see how to count spikes.

Hi,

2013 version is not released yet. NI usually releases new version in NI Week (August). You missed our beta version release. But no problem, just wait a moment for release!

Thanks!

You could call NI support. Currently I think the published download link is the latest version.
