how to read HL7 with Biomedical Toolkit

Hello,

I'd like to use the NI Biomedical toolkit to read HL7 data. My data is in similar format to that posted in many sites for test purposes (such as this one: http://www.priorityhealth.com/provider/manual/office-mgmt/data-exchange/hl7/hl7-samples).

What I've done is copy one of these data segments (for instance sample lines example 1 in the link above) to a text file and save with the hl7 extension. When I use the Biomedical Toolkit file reader (which supports HL7) it complaints that it can't read it. Would Z.J. or someone in his team help provide some guidance so I can successfully read these sample HL7 messages?

Hi,

The toolkit is using this dataplugin to support HL7 aECG xml data - http://www.ni.com/example/31444/en/. Looks like the sample texts are not stored as xml format.
