LCARS (Boldly Going Where No GUI Has Gone Before)

Star Trek has LCARS (Library Computer Access/Retrieval System), that has been wrongly called "fictional" by wikipedia.

It actually is very real and, as suspected, has LabVIEW under the hood! It was presented at a LabVIEW user group meeting here at UCLA a while ago. Very cool!

As a user-interface fan, I'm fascinated by this GUI design. I'd very much like to see the framework implementation they used
