"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became" alfa1

What you see depends on the directional cosines (or Euler angles) of the view direction in the current frame of reference. It also depends on your position and it sometimes also depends on what you want to see.
We can't just single out two directions among infinite choices and base our world view on such limited data.

THe Dow and gold have been wiggling side-ways for the last 6 month. Ratio of Dow to Gold has been holding around 8.
THis week the dow is down but gold looks like it is turning a corner.
What is in YOUR
walletsafe?
Ben
So a month later we have
and the dow/gold is at
7.6937.685 as of this morning.
QE 3 with an unlimited amount of dollars being printed is not good for any savings we may have. if you have not read up on the Wimar repulic and hyper-inflation there is still time to see what could happen before experiencing it ourselves.
We do not need to be able to purchase piles of gold to prepare. Getting an extra bag of rice or spagetti and stashing it way may just feed you and your neighbor when the cost of an egg gos to $1M. What an egg that cost $1M? Read about teh Weimar republic to see it has happened before.
The differnece this time is the lions share of the economies around the world are now tied togeteher and dependent on each other to preserve their economies. QE3 has the potential of introducing a world-wide collapse.
On a lighter note...
Anyone have any thoughts of a Caliphate and how that could change the nauture of the world?
and to close for today...
I believe that God asks us to work on our relationship with him (him generic) and the old adage "you will never find and atheist in a fox hole". With the stuff that is happening now we all be asked to examine our beliefs soon.

What's the diagonal cosine of a truck wheel going across the road into someone's front yard?
Check your studs/lug nuts tonight.
Wheel started clunking like a U-joint had come loose. Got to the trailhead, unloaded/rode and shot some great footage up the singletrack in lefthand... rough edit coming probably this weekend. On the way down the canyon the rattling moved through the steering wheel, slowed down a bit and the wheel just came off! (Ron White, audio NSFW)
Pull some lugnuts off the other wheels, jack the truck up and get the spare on, then into a buddy's machine shop 2 miles away to replace some studs on the hub and throw on new lug nuts. $30 and a few hours later I'm on the road again... truck's in teh shop today for new U-joints, brake rotor, probably do bearings too...
Motorcycles > trucks.
So much for going to the LV user group meeting last night...

I notice that the Ford still retains all its wheels. Dodge's don't come with loctite?

Maybe you need to get him up to a cheeseburger slowly. Ask him to show you a picture of a cow as a start. Even a Gateway one. Extra points if he shows you a picture of a chocolate cow.

A cow is just a sphere with some holes in it.

my wife never did get the "approximate a horse as a sphere" line from the engineering t-shirt I had while at Pitt.
On another note The Blaze will be airing "The Project" on Wednesday and Thursday night at 8:00 eastern. If you have not used up a trial subscription it could be a good time to check what The Balze has to offer. If you have Dish network you alredy have acces to the Blaze.
"The Project" is supposed to be based on a secret document found somewhere (hey I have not seen it yet!) that details the Borotherhood's plans.
My family will be watching of course.
