Cleaning up production messes? Like sweeping up saw dust under the band saw, or soaking up spilled cutting oil? 😉

Congrats!!! Unfortunately my hands-on LabVIEW work will be diminished since I am moving toward the dark side now (management). I do get to continue to contribute on the architecture side of things though.

Congratulations,

There's just one thing to beware of. If like me (and probably most people here) you're addicted to LabVIEW, you'll spend your working hours working, lunch breaks playing making your own trial apps, and stay late at work carrying on with either work or your own stuff.

Don't fall in to that trap.

LabVIEW should come with a health warning. It's as addictive as Alcohol or tobacco, and just as bad for your family life if you let it take over!! Smiley Wink

Keep an eye on you hours spent in front of the screen and don't think of too many great projects to do for youself. (I think  of a new one each week and I still haven't finished/started most of them.)

James: don't forget those 'holidays' where you write some nice tools to post on LAVA and a deadline called 'Back to work' in your head.

While off-work coding can be combined with other addictive substances (I think red wine goes best with it), there is definitively not a version called

LabVIEW 9to5

But congrats to Harold.
