I have a maxon brushed DC motor, and it has an encoder on it. I'm pretty sure it's quadrature. I have no NI hardware, so i'll buy some. I would rather buy USB or PCMCIA hardware. what's the easiest way to do this?
I recommend to use a M series DAQ card to read the encoder. An example of an angular position measurement ships with LabVIEW --> ..\LabVIEW X.X\examples\DAQmx\Counter\Measure Position.llb\Measure Angular Position.vi
Do you also need to control the motor through LabVIEW and NI hardware ?
