Analog Input Waveform Not Visible On The Plot

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello. I am trying to read an analog input signal from a USB-6003 NI DAQ device. The first time I set everything up and ran the software, it was working great. The PC I used for the first setup was too slow for me, so I installed the DAQExpress software and DAQmx drivers on a newer/faster PC. I set everything up the same, created a new project, and began running a measurement.

For some reason, the live feed of data being read from the USB-6003 is not visible. However, if I record or capture the data and then look at the file post-measurement, all of the data is present. Why can't I see the data feed as it's coming in? Nor am I able to zoom on a waveform while viewing a recorded measurement.

See attached screenshots for channel/task settings. Thanks!

SOLVED:

The new laptop I bought has 2 graphics processors: 1) The integrated graphics of the intel cpu chip, and 2) the high-performance NVIDIA processor of the video card installed in the laptop.

It was determined pretty early on that this was a graphical issue of the PC and not the DAQExpress software, but the challenge was figuring out why. The solution in my case was to open the NVIDIA Control Panel (for the video card), and change the preferred graphics processor for the DAQExpress program. By default it was using the integrated Intel graphics. Once I told it to use the high-performance NVIDIA graphics, problem solved.
