Omega OMB-DAQ-3001 Not being recognized by DASYLab 2016

I am currently running DASYLab 2016 Professional and i have been unable to have my Omega OMB-DAQ-3001 recognized in the configurator.  I have installed the latest drivers from Omega, and selected the OMB package in configurator.  The daq is also not showing in the Daq X menu while connected and active.  Also, when running 2012 the boards would be added using the hardware setup and would show up in driver subfolder under input/outputs. Now there is an omega subfolder under input/output and when i go to ad the device it says to run instacal which i've never had to do with these Omega boards before.  I installed the most recent Instacal and these boards are not recognized.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There should be a second Omega driver for OMB-DAQ and OMB-DAQBOOK that will load the correct driver for the device.

You don't mention the operating system... That might be an issue, but I never had a problem with the DAQ3000 series. I used to use it for the DASYLab training classes.

Hi CJ!

I'm only showing one choice there and the Newport/Omega OMB won't enable for me to try.

Try the IOtech driver?

Same, something fundamental is eluding me.

Ok...my next advice is to download the latest version of DASYLab 2016.

I can't get to the MCC site today, try downloading the SP2 release  from https://www.measx.com/en/service/download.html

I no longer have my notes, but I vaguely recall something with the original release.

Hello,

At the moment, the MCC website is down and we are in the process of restoring it. In the meantime, with the IOtech and Omega DASYLab drivers disabled, go to Program & Features in the Windows Control Panel and uninstall the Omega software including InstaCal if it's installed. After you have done this, go back to DASYLab's Configurator and enable the IOtech driver. Your device will be shown as a PersonalDaq/3001 - the only difference is it has Omega labeling. If you get an error and you have other versions of DASYLab installed, you may need to disable the IOtech driver in them before it will allow you to add the support to DASYLab 2016.
