XLR8 - Regional format settings causing Error

Solved!
Go to solution

After installing my application on several computers most of them (but not all) generate an error when trying to open a template file (RunDataLog_Template_v36.xlsx).

Constructor Node Error creating instance of XSSFWorkbook in assembly NPOI.XSSF.UserModel.XSSFWorkbook, NPOI.OOXML, Version=2.1.3.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0df73ec7942b34e1, (System.ArgumentException: 1 is not a supported code page.

Parameter name: codepage) <append><b>System.ArgumentException</b> in XLR8.lvlib:Open Create Workbook XLSX.vi->Create Generic Log File.vi->ErrorLog.vi->MainVi.vi

I eventually found out the error is connected to Regional format settings (Om Windows 10, Adjust date/time + Date, time & regional formatting. Using Regional format = English(United Kingdom) or English (United States) solves the problem. Using English(Sweden) or Swedish(Sweden) is causing the Error.

Hi Mattias,

thanks for posting this.

We already knew that the same error is caused for e.g. English (Israel). So English (Sweden) adds to that list.

Hello,

the current release v2021.8.0.2 of XLR8 fixes this language settings problem, which arose from the use of an outdated version of SharpZipLib 0.86.
