I see the NI 9401 can use SPI to communicate with a slave device and I see in the "NI 9401 Getting Started Guide" how to connect for SPI. From the description in the Getting Started Guide, it looks like only one slave device can be connected because there is only one chip select pin. However, I looked at the "SPI Digital Waveform Reference Library" and saw an example with two slave devices.
Is it possible to communicate with multiple sensors using SPI with a single NI 9401 and if so, how and how many devices can be connected?
